Sydney-siders! (or those feeling like they want to make a big trip to Sydney) Make sure you pop along to the opening night of DisBand, an exhibition inspired by the 40th anniversary since the break-up of The Beatles. 16 artists have created all new artworks with themes relating to the end of relationships, romantic or otherwise.  Combine that with an installation, recreating the apartment of a couple undergoing a break-up (hello retro furniture!) to create what I can already feel is going to be a fun, vintagey vibed kind of night.

And if that isn’t reason enough, maybe the fact that we (Angela and Renee) curated and organised the whole thing will encourge you to come along, because we would love to see you there, in a little vintage dress, maybe a cute bow in your hair to help us pretty up our photos!

Speaking of little vintage dresses, what on earth are we going to wear! haha.

Opening night will be Thursday May 27th, 2010 at aMBUSH gallery from 6pm to 9pm, with the exhibition open daily from 10am to 5pm through to Sunday May 30th.  Artworks will be available for sale, and there will be a small Leeloo “pop-up store” from the Friday to Sunday.
