lens love :: ‘new independent photography’

flickr is not only a fantastic site to upload your photos and share them with the world, it is a great place to find inspiration and spend hours and hours looking at the billions of amazing images. although sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming and be hard to know where to start. sometimes checking someones favourites can be great, or if you like more interaction, groups are fantastic. you can join them, browse them, upload to them, and get totally lost in them. so you can imagine how excited I get when I find a good curated* one. Recently Angela introduced me to the group ‘new independent photography‘ and every image just blows me away. Fingers crossed they accept my request to join.

So true. A bit of curating/moderation does wonders. People know they’re going to find amazing stuff, and if your accepted you feel validated.
