Climate Change. (oh that C word!) We probably hear those words every day without even realising. I think about it a fair bit in the day to day sense. I tick a lot of the right boxes - reusing grocery bags, using less power, eco-cleaners, recycling recycling recycling. However this morning, while reading the most recent issue of Peppermint Magazine, I realised that I haven’t really done anything on the broader sense to help the problem. At night while watching the news I might shake my fist at the K-Dog (Kevin Rudd), but I never express my opinions beyond that of my lounge room.

 

Anyway, reading pages 86-91 in issue 4 of Peppermint Mag made me realise there are more things that we can do, in a bigger and bolder sense, to help get things moving on this whole issue. Franny Armstrong is my new favourite hero for getting something done by using community support and not relying on “the man”. And I was also pretty excited to see a nice little list of websites where I can sign things and make my stamp, voice my opinion and all of that jazz. Because don’t be fooled. Every name counts. Working together, no matter what it might be for, has a lot more power than one may think!
